I just purchased and received a new Honda Pilot EXL-NAVI 2019. I am experiencing problems operating my Ipod Classic 160Go.

I use the USB connection. It work sporadically and then suddenley stops and bloks my Ipod. Sometimes the plug does not recognize the IPOD, and when it does woek, il extremely slow to load the different functions of my IPOD.

Previously, I had a Pilot 2016 and did not experience any problems.
Thank yu very much for your help, it will be mush appreciated.

UPDATE -- I gave up on using my iPod in my 2019 Pilot. Too many problems.

I have copied whole playlists from iTunes over to a 128GB flash drive. I am successfully able to play songs from the flash drive. It displays song name and artist. I also uploaded a large playlist (1250 songs) to the My Honda Music app. Seems to work fine as well. I have not thoroughly tested to see if the folders are working properly and/or whether the music picks up where it was left, or if it starts all over again (saw posts about that). So far, the USB solution (which I saw on Piloteers -- thank you!) seems to be the way to go.
* END UPDATE ****

Wondering if this issue got solved for you. I have a 2019 Pilot Touring and using iPod Classic 160GB. I find I have to be VERY CAREFUL to stop the iPod from playing, disconnect the unit from the USB port before turning off the engine. If I don't do that and I have it plugged in and turn the engine off and on, the iPod gets messed up and won't play any more. It gets so messed up that I have trouble getting it to respond at all. I have to totally reset the iPod before I can get it to work on my other devices. Wondering if anyone else has a solution for using an iPod with the Pilot? It seems to be a supported device, because it is mentioned in the owner's manual. Thank you!
