I backed into my driveway this afternoon, and put my Pilot in park. The moment I took my foot off the brake, the truck started to roll down the driveway!

I set the parking brake, and the truck stopped moving. I got out to see what the heck was going on, and saw my driver's side front wheel was on an icy patch. The other three wheels were on dry pavement.

Until now, I did not realize that when the Pilot's transmission is in "park", only the one wheel is actually locked in place! YIKES! I thought both front wheels would lock!

Now I know!

Virtually every vehicle without limited slip axles is this way. You do know you should apply the parking brake BEFORE putting the vehicle into park right?:p
