Is it a good idea to clean the oxygen sensor(s)? Have you ever cleaned one before? And how often should it be cleaned?

Oxygen and AFR sensors should not be cleaned. They are quite trouble free and I consider the upstream sensors to be part of a high mileage tuneup. A competent technician (or anyone who understands scan tool data) can evaluate the condition of these sensors.
