OK, this is petty, but I thought I'd just ask. Did anyone get a neat leather/ette cover for their owner's guide?

I got a Ziploc plastic bag, which I thought was pretty cheesy for a $30,000 EX-L. My 94 Nissan Quest had a neat leather carrying case, which looked quite nice in the glove compartment.

Or maybe my dealer "forgot" something?

I'm thinking it's more likely that Honda Central "forgot" -- like they forgot the rear splashguards...;)

I specifically asked for a leather case as well from my dealer and they said, they do not have one and never had one. You got a ziplock bag - I got a paper envelope !!!

Re: Re: Owner's guide "case"

I'm feeling better about the plastic envelope that I received! []

I think Honda is just playing with our minds. :5: If it's not the owners case it's the splash guards. They must have had to rationalize that because of the fact that they included floor mats that they had to take something away. For the cost of some these petty items and the annoyances that they cause us, you would think that they would get the hint. :20:

Dittos to....

....what the Cheese said. But I keep coming back for more - and I guess that's the key for them.

Case

My owners manual came in a vinyl case with the dealers contact information on it.

Ziplock

If you are getting leather I think it is the dealer providing it. The last four Honda products in my family all came with the infamous zip lock bag from two different dealers. I pulled most of the info out anyway, it just takes up space. I put the manual, quick start, and warranties book in there with my registration and insurance and just saved the glove compartment space. I just can't complain about a $10 leather case when there are so many other toys to distract me. (Even though I can see it in black with either Honda or Pilot embossed on the front.)
