Replacement single DIN multifunction DVD decks that are hitting the market now are pretty incredible. These will allow you to play MP3, VCD, DVD, CDR, CDRW, and some even have built in TV tuners. They're pretty economical and offer more bang for your buck. The installation is just a simple swap with the factory DVD player. Almost every aftermarket line now carries a player such as this one whether it is Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, etc ... Clarion even has one thats a NAV unit as well.

Just another thought or suggestion to think about.

Just wonder if the unit has the correct wiring/connector for a direct swap.
I don't think it will be as easy as a home theator system. Just swap some RCA cable or toslink for audio. For Video will be SVHS or RCA.
