On Road Experiences

Have any of the new Pilot owners had interesting experiences on the road with people admiring their Pilot? :10:

I've had people honk, give thumbs up, and even strike up a conversation in traffic. Many own other Honda's and most like what they see.

Same here with positive responses.

In fact wife said the other day that she had an MDX owner comment on our Pilot and said "That really looks nice and it seems a little bigger too !'

One of our friends had this comment. "The SUV really looks masculine, unlike RX300 or get this - MDX" !!!! Don't want to go there.. I like the MDX styling but I like the Pilot better overall.

To each their own !!!

We chose the Pilot because it is a Honda and that's all we ever drive!:D

I run the S2000 club from Virginia to Florida and wanted something that had the capability of towing the S2000. Now, we won't have to endure a 12+ hour drive in the S2000 and also, we'll be able to accommodate folks at events for dinner and so on.

Anyways. . .getting to this thread, I've had lots of folks comment on the Pilot and the most intriguing one thus far has been from an MDX owner who was completely shocked to see a Pilot. He and his wife had purchased their MDX just 6 months prior and they had no idea that Honda was in the middle of announcing a new SUV. They poked around and seemed rather impressed. We spoke for only a few minutes and that was it.

My wife says she gets loads of questions everywhere she goes.:p I had no idea so many folks find the Pilot so interesting!:D

The worst thing is that the Pilot is BIG and it's hard to hide from folks like our nosey neighbors!:p :D They always comment on our vehicles!

Comments on the Pilot

Maybe it's the laidback attitude of California, but at least in SOCAL after two weeks I have not had any comments or noticed any other drivers notice the Pilot. However, that might be because the roads are so clogged one dare not take eyes off the road...

BTW, my State Farm insurance agent as of yesterday (6/14) still did not have the Pilot in their national insurance database. They had to make a special entry to change my insurance from 99 CR-V to Pilot...
Re: Comments on the Pilot

Thats surprising Chris. Liberty Mutual initally said the same thing when I mentioned Pilot, but when I gave them my VIN number, they gave me an exact quote. I am sure if Libert Mutual can find it in 'some database' then State Farm should too. One would think !!
