I wanted to pick up my Pilot before I posted about my dealer experience but I must say I couldn't have been happier dealing with Michael Curio at Honda of Nanuet, New York, located about a half hour North of Manhattan.

I called Michael a week ago and asked if he had any pilots available. Apparently an Evergreen Pearl EX-L was in shipping and the person who had a deposit on it didn't want the car anymore. He told me I could have it for MSRP, so I immediately gave him a credit card deposit over the phone. I had never bought a car sight unseen before. Michael was so easy to deal with and the entire experience was simple. I picked up the car this morning and there was no hastle, no forced options, just an excellent vehicle ready to drive away.

I've heard some horror stories about dealers, some of which are posted here. I called other dealers and they wanted anywhere from $2,000 to 5,000 above MSRP.

My experience at Honda of Nanuet was effortless. Unfortunately, Michael told me this morning that they are sold out of Pilots until October, but if you can wait until then that dealership was a pleasure to work with. Who knows, maybe Michael can find you a Pilot like he did for me, but I think my experience was simply dumb luck.

Congratulations Evergreen !! I agree dealers selling the Pilots at MSRP are few and far between.

Its the same story out here in the Bay Area. anywhere from 2k to 5k over MSRP

But if people are willing to call around and drive a bit, I am sure one can find some dealers who sell at MSRP
