Need help identifying the belt tensioner NUT

I don't know what you mean when you are asking about "cranking". Most people say cranking is when you try to start the engine. Turning the key in the ignition makes the engine crank.

I suggest you download a service manual and you can learn a lot by reading it and seeing the pictures.

If you are asking about which nut "boss" to put your wrench on too release the tension on the serpentine belt, for removal or installation, this picture from the 2006-2008 service manual shows putting the wrench on your nut "A".


(a boss is a mechanical feature that sticks out from the surface. The bosses on this part are hex shaped, so they look like a nut sticking out from the surface of the part)

I don't have any experiences with buying that item. But many Piloteers have had bad experiences with cheap parts, and have regretted buying them off ebay. Many of our older members will tell people to only purchase Honda parts from Honda suppliers. There are many Honda dealers online, such as Bernardi, hondapartsnow, hondapartsonline. Or you can go to a Honda dealer local to you. Many have been "burned" by putting cheap parts in their vehicles and had them fail within a few weeks or months.
