Hi Guy, I've heard that on newer cars, the battery will become dead if not driven for a couple weeks.
(on my older car, the battery still goes strong after not driven for a month0.
Just wondering if it's necessary to disconnect the battery in this case?
What will be lost if the battery is disconnected?
Thanks a lot.

Couple weeks should be no problem with a good battery. I use a 'battery tender' on mine to keep the battery charged while parked for an extend time. Disconnecting the battery is a pain.

Battery Tenders are great. The "Jr." is perfect for one car. I agree that a couple of weeks will be fine, but if you do that routinely, just get a Tender and forget about it.
