Small horizontal knurled button adjacent parking brake release at base of dash...What's it for?
I can't locate as of yet any info in manual or online. Trying to avoid dealer visit.

TPMS system reset button possibly. Otherwise maybe part of an aftermarket alarm system.

And welcome to the forum.

You're not referring to the hood release, are you?

But yeah, post a picture if you can.

It's for the oil slick when somebody is chasing you!

If you can post a picture it would help us identify it.

What's the year and trim level of the vehicle you're asking about? Don't remember any such thing on my 2013 Pilot Touring or on the new 2020 Passport.

FYI......If you mess with it your infotainment system will quit working.

Exact car year/trim level? Is this a used car? If so, quite possible this is something installed by prior owner. For example, could be add-on amplifier bass boost control.

To a hammer, everything looks like a nail. To @scorrpio , everything looks like an audio component. :)

Above the parking brake release, all I have is the VSA button surrounded by 3 or so blanks. Could be aftermarket as others suggest. Unless you're referring to the horizontal slider to open/close vent baffle.

It's the 'valet' button for a KARR security system.
