I put a deposit down back in April. The dealer showed me their allocation list and I picked a Red EX-L that they were getting in their first load. Well they got 4 Pilots last Friday and [supposedly] none of them was a Red EX-L. I've been calling almost every day and they keep saying that it should arrive any time now. My deal is in writing for MSRP. I'm wondering if possibly they sold it from under me at a premium.

I went there on Saturday and confirmed it was not in the lot. The manager told me that on Monday he would look up in Honda systems to see where it is. I still don't have that information.

Has anything like this happened to anyone? What do you folks suppose is going on? I'm starting to talk to other dealers just in case but now they all want over MSRP.

I would tell them you want answers and be a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS to them. Call them everyday atleast once til you get an answer, if that doesn't work tell them you are calling honda and filing a complaint on them. make sure if you do this to raise living hell (politley) at honda customer care (I have and it made a HUGE difference). You were quoted this delivery date so tell them you want major discounts on accessories.

Hey Fredrico,
When you cancel the one you don't want (if no one else wants it). Just simply tell them you can't get it at this time. That is what my wife and I did when we canceled ours and ordered another from the new dealership. I am not sure what the contracts by you state but in WI it states that they must give you your money back. When we canceled we made sure to blatantly tell them we want our money back ASAP. That again if they dork you around on complain to Honda.
The reason I am saying complain to Honda is because it will get logged into a file on the dealer and they do not want a bad outcome in that file.

Complaining to Honda won't do anything.
The dealer I ordered mine at kept stringing me along.
I don't think they ever ordered it.
If they did order yours they should be able to give you a planned build date, if they can't (or won't) by now cancel it and go elsewhere.
