I've noticed that the rear mudflaps do not keep the tail of my Pilot very clean. I still get a whole lot of road trash, mud, etc. in the area that I would think mudflaps should protect.

Are the mudflaps too short? After looking at mine today I think they should be about 2" longer.

Nope, but no flap would.
The keep stones and mud from directly hitting the lower fender behind the wheel, lik ethey are suposed to.
Theyalso keep your tires from throwing stones towards the cars behind you.
