Hey guys, does anyone know if parts and/or accesories for the MDX will work for the Pilot. Things like oil filters, performance parts, etc. I would think they would work, being the same drivetrain. What do you think?

I believe that you will find that the drive trains are the same; therefore, many/most items will be compatible.

Regarding oil filters, I believe you will find that all the Honda 3.x liter engines use the same oil filter. In fact, they appear to be the same engines with differences in stroke/bore as they increase from 3.0 liter [e.g. Accord] to 3.2 liter [e.g. TL] to 3.5 liter [e.g. Odyssey, MDX, Pilot].

A good souce is Tim at Hondacuraworld.com [genuine Honda filters at a great price]. Heck, everything that Tim sells is at a great price.

I wouldn't buy any Honda filters unless they were from Japan. Did you know that American Honda filters are just rebaged, overpriced FRAM filters? Also Canadian Honda Filters are FILTECH filters. I will never ever buy another filter from Honda again, especially for the price and uncharacteristic low quality.

Japan's filters on the other hand are some high quality Japanese brand.

The filters we have in the us are NOT Fram.....they are made by Filtech also.
