I'm trying to manual swap my YF2. Does anyone know how to go about this? Thanks. I think it would be a crazy build! Any ideas, thoughts, or comments are welcome!

To my knowledge the only Honda product with a manual V6 AWD transaxle is the TL SH-AWD from 2010ish. Assuming it bolts to the block without issue you'd have to make sure the final drive ratios in the transaxle matches the rear diff. And if that all lines up then you get to figure out custom linkages and interior mods for the shifter. Then there's the matter of what lights show up on the dash and hopefully none of them force any type of limp mode.

It's possible, but there are technical hurdles that will require high skill levels that most don't possess.

As cintocrunch stated the mechanical aspect of performing the change would probably be the easiest part if those parts would matchup. You would get no input from the transmission sensors so the PCM would report transmission problems.
You would then have to deal with the electronics which would likely require using the PCM from the donor vehicle, and splicing/making harnesses to do so. Then you would have to basically rewrite the PCM software program to get everything to communicate.
If you have to do emissions testing I have no idea what their computer would make of that.o_O

You think the 2008 Acura TL Type S 6MT can mate to the J35A9? It can’t be that much different from the J35A8 other than being 4WD. It looks like a transaxle too. I’m not sure tho.

It's tough to say, the compatibility information isn't readily available since this is not a common thing to do. If you can find one in a junkyard or see if an online seller can take measurements for you that you can measure on your engine block it may help.
