Well, this is annoying. I've been trying harder to locate one of these than I tried to locate our life-sized Pilot. I actually want 2, one for us and I want to give one to our Honda salesperson as a Thank You. We've had the car over a month and I'm starting to feel guilty that we haven't given her anything (not that salespeople expect anything). I've been holding out hoping to locate this to give to her instead of candy or some other nonsensical gift.

Don't have any idea where to get the Pilot but acquired my Maisto SS MDX from a KB Toys store for $2.99.

For those interested, there is a model Pilot on auction on EBAY. I would leave a link but I guess I'm just too lazy. Search under 'Honda Pilot model".

Just wondering if anyone has found the Honda Pilot Model anywhere other than on eBay ? Have been searching Walmart and KB for a long time without any success.

Maybe I should just wait for the '04 Model ... :8:

I know what you mean about looking all over. I tear the displays apart at KB and WalMart to see if they may have got one in. No luck yet. Let me know if you have any luck.

Found One!

My dealer Valley Honda in Aurora, IL sells them from their parts department. They were in the display case for $9.95.
I bought one and now proudly display it on my desk at work!

The BJ's Wholesaler I go to has a whole pallet of assorted Maisto cars but no Pilot. Maybe at other BJ's.

I know what you mean, I do the same. I got so excited when I saw a bunch of MDX's. I bought each of our kids one - told them they were Pilots - but blast that 8 yo - he said "NO, IT'S NOT A HONDA PILOT - IT"S AN ACURA." I said, "It's the same." He said, "It's nice, but it's not a Pilot." The 5yo, of course, couldn't be fooled, either.

Ok I am really jealous now! Anyway you could buy and ship it regular postal for me? I'd be willing to send a few extra bucks for gas and trouble. Thanks in advance.

PS-Did they only have Silver in stock? I think that is the only color it comes it, just thought I would check.

Boy, am I going to feel like an idiot for paying $158 for mine when it'll cost about $10 at Wal-Mart!!! <img src="http://mywebpages.comcast.net/kemosabe/smilies/togo.gif">

Their actually $1.96 at Wal-Mart. They are packaged under Wal-Mart's own brand "Kid Connection", the do say power racer on the box. The store I was at didn't have the Honda Pilot, but they did have a Silver MDX, which my son thought it looked like our car... but he is only 4.
I can tell you it will be difficult to find them at Wal-Mart, those cars are packaged 12 to a case and they are in an assortment of other cars as well. Good luck.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one destroying the Walmart and KB displays.

I got the Silver MDX and the X5, but they just aren't quite the same...

Me too! I've been looking behind all of the power racers and other displays thinking someone may have hidden one, or thrown it (Wal*martians!)
Then I feel guilt and have to clean up after every other slob that had been down the aisle that day. I can't leave it that way.
If I find any, I'll buy them all and send them to my favorite honda-pilot.org members

With two kids, we are constantly at Toys 'R' Us and the toy sections of Wal-Mart & Target... Since I already have the MDX and Pilot diecast models, I've been looking through the shelves for the Maisto models and will purchase them if I see them for anyone on honda-pilot.org... :4: :17:

I will post here if I find any and can purchase them...

ChuckW: Gotcha!!! But don't hold your breath toooooo long because I've been scouring the shelves for the past two months and so far, I've struck out at: Toys 'R' Us, KB Toys, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target!!!

Len: To the best of my knowledge, as of right now, the only model available is the Maisto one... I'm hoping that one of the model companies will take on the effort of creating a plastic "build it yourself" model one of these days!

Thanks for the link, but I prefer to get it the old fashioned way... cheap. Plus, I want to be the first person here in H-Town to unearth the holy grail of these things :whip:
