2006 Pilot keeps going into limp mode.. Shot out a P2647 code, changed oil pressure switch just above the oil filter and the rocker arm oil pressure switch on the top of the motor . Truck runs awesome for a few days then goes into limp mode shoots out P2647 then is fine again..Any ideas ? Do I need to have the code wiped out by someone with a real diagnostic machine ? When I ordered the rocker arm oil pressure switch from Rock Auto something came up about changing both pressure switches, Is there another rocker arm oil switch on this truck ? Maybe theres one where I changed the oil pressure switch above the filter?

Is that a fwd Pilot or AWD Pilot? Oil level good? When was the last time the fluid was changed?

Just happened to me tonight (2008 with 170,000 miles) and the last thing that happened before it started lugging and not accelerating when I hit the brakes momentarily. I read the codes, which was as follows: P2647 MOD $09 - A Rocker Arm Actuator Control System Stuck on Bank 1 - Confirmed.
Page 2 was the same except at the end said "pending" instead of "confirmed."

I'm in the same boat with regular (most times early than later by the oil change reminder) intervals, always synthetic and never less than 1/2 quart low
when I check.

One page says replace the VVT (VTEC) Oil Pressure Switch
which is located on the side of the intake manifold under the plastic and black cover on top.

I'm going to look for frayed or cut wires since I already had a wire chewn through a one-wire engine temp sensor under the upper intake manifold one winter.

I'll keep you posted on my findings.

VTEC is an engine system--it uses oil pressure to shift the cam profile and regulate valve action for power and economy. It is not a transmission related system, so it does not matter if you have a 2WD or 4WD Pilot. You have VTEC, either way.

Now, Im trying to find the VVT oil pressure switch. Honda seems to call the one on the top of the engine just oil pressure and the other one the VVT switch. I don't see it above the oil filter. I want to change both sensors at the same time. Anyone know where it is?

I took the whole VTEC solenoid unit and the oil screen was clogged. This can throw the code, once I did this, no issues
And then same problem later. Oil screen not clogged anymore. I have the 2WD which has the VCM. I took the VVT apart and the solenoid out and cleaned it and so far, no problems. I tried changing the oil pressure switch and it didnt help. I didnt know that the 2WD and 4WD drive have different engines. I think all the advice I was getting was from the 4WD model. My model has the VCM system. The engine cover will tell you this whether it says Vtec or i-Vtec

So am I right to conclude the this issue is only related to 2WD engines? I have a 2005 4WD with 140k miles. Thanks! Just curious... (and anxious...).
