So my check engine light and VTM-4 light came on one day and the code I'm getting is P-0325 which is the knock sensor . I've done some reading on this one and lots of folks just end up having to do the harness, but I haven't seen anyone actually replace the knock sensor itself. Has anyone on here replaced the sensor and if so, does it require removing the power steering pump AND the intake manifold to do it?

I'm not looking forward to puling the intake manifold and all that stuff off and doing this, but I'll do whatever needs to be done. Any advice/input/pictures would be appreciated. Thanks

Update and Conclusion:

(Rat/Mouse chew your Knock Sensor. How to replace w/ pictures Minimal tools required)

So I followed the steps from the Odyssey forum in the link above for removing manifold and all that stuff. As I was inspecting the wiring harness that goes to the knock sensor I noticed the connector in the attached picture with the arrow pointing to it was cut...

No big deal, I thought, I called up Honda to see how much a new connector would cost and they told me that they only sell the whole engine wiring harness which was $525. I decided to solder a wire to the connector and then solder that to the wire where it had been cut. I put shrink tube on both connections, put the manifold and all that stuff back on, torqued everything appropriately and no more VTM-light and several star cycles later, no more check engine light either. Problem solved.

One side note, if I'd had to do the knock sensor and/or knock sensor harness it looked extremely difficult to get to. Maybe if I'd taken off the fuel rails I could've gotten to it better, but it looked like a tight squeeze.

Congrats and that's exactly what I would have done or found one at a salvage yard.:29:
