Hi Guys

I recently bought an Honda Pilot Touring 2013, with normal honda key (without keyless remote)

To get it work for keyless entry, i bought two Replacement Keys with Remote.

Locksmith was able to cut and program keys and engine starting is fine but he repeatedly failed to reprogram the remote.

The locksmith’s in my town are telling me Pilot remote is different frequency and the one i have are incompatible. They do not have Pilot remote as the cars are limited.

How can I make sure I am buying compatible keyless entry module if I am not going with Honda Genuine Part.

Is there any special frequency i should look for on amazon?

I even have a used one 72147-SZA-A3
As per hondaparts online webbits should work too.

Is that the reason that only dealership can program a remote for pilot?

I only got wallet key. I bought 4 keyless modules from different places all failed, Locksmith failed too. Now regret why i didn't went to dealership at first place.

The dealership asked $210 for replacement module and $80 for programming

Locksmith says using standard manual method its not entering to programming mode. We tried key movements 0 to II and also I to II to get it synq but nothing worked.

I want ask, any body have experience with Pilot 2013 Touring manual programming of keyless module using key rotating steps?
