Honda parts guy gave me this relay 39794-SDA-A05 telling me that it is the generic power relay.
Page 22-82 tells that the starter cut relay is the "normally open type A" which looks similar.
Does anyone who replaced this relay recognize it in the attached photo?

If you’re not sure about a relay you can a check the markings on the top of the package.
Important parameters are rated voltage, rated current, and “schematic” symbol. Also check if the pins are the same size and are in the same location as the original part.

Figures it goes onto the other side of the under-dash fusebox, which in Honda's wisdom has to be completely taken off the wall in order to replace the relay.
Imagine doing that on a roadside on a winter midnight during a snow storm 500 miles north of Sudbury. Curse on all auto manufacturers for being cheap penny pincher f__ks.

Ah, so that explains why I couldn't immediately find it roadside in any of the four accessible fuseboxes. ?

(Forunately?) it turned out to be the starter itself.
