Subject pretty much says it all. Wife and I are not on the same page. I made the assumption that where almost all of my previous (post 2000) vehicles have had adaptive transmissions, that my new Pilot did as well.

Sooo... No one wants take sides between me and the wife eh? :)

I don't know of any transmissions that don't have some sort of "learning" built in nowadays, one of the first things a dealer does if anyone complains about transmission behavior and the fluid level is good with no discoloration is recommend pulling the battery cable to force the transmission to relearn. Been that way for the 15 or so years I've been driving.

Anytime I get into wife's Volvo it's a jerky drive until it learns my style of driving. So yup, they learn to.
