1050 ft-lb breakaway torque should do the job along with the thick walled socket but the tool is heavy and bulky

Have you looked at its warranty? 90 days is 275 days fewer than I’d be comfortable with.

They were out of the electric one so I wound up buying the air impact instead.

I wanted an electric one because I don’t use impact often and I would be able to take it with me to family or friend house to help them work on their car without having to drag an air compressor along with me.

I have a Dewalt impact for smaller tasks.

Don't use the impact driver to tighten the bolt. You won't have control over how tight it is, and if you over-tighten it, bad things happen. Like hardening the bolt so it shears off down the road.
