We own a 2016 Honda Pilot and recently when the idle stop kicks in, it will stall out and not be able to start back up for about 15-20 seconds. The dealer is telling me they are not sure why and they want to put a $340 battery in to see if this is the reason why. I do not want to put that money into something they are "guessing" is the problem because they cannot guarantee me that is the problem. The battery tests at a good level and everything else is fine. Pretty disappointed with the dealership considering this is the 3rd Honda I have bought there in the last 7 years. Any suggestions?

Your dealer should have contacted Honda as per this:

If that doesn't help, contact Honda directly. The dealer replaced my battery for free but I'm not sure if that was because it failed during the warranty period or because I also had the extended warranty.

There's also an extensive thread about this. If I recall correctly, most of the issues were fixed when a new battery was provided.
