Yes I know, I been reading for a couple hours,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,


I just wanted to let people looking to buy to look out for the code when buying a Pilot.

Most likely the catalytic convertor, am replacing the Bank 1 O/2 sensor to see if that help, if not am taking it to the dealer to replace the convertor.

That’s not cool. Even if you had brought a code reader with you when purchasing the Pilot it may not have reported anything. I suspect the previous owner knew of the issue and was cleared the codes prior to the test drive.

Yes, I had my cheapy code reader and nothing came up.

I checked it out pretty good. I test drove it about 8 miles, the fact that it was one owner, female driven with all the service records since new was what convinced me to buy it.

I got perhaps 170k before mine was coded. Initially I reset it but it returned. A short time before it failed, my EGR had to be replaced.

am planning on replacing Bank1 O/2 sensor to see if that correct the problem, if not replace the C.convertor.
