I googled that. Seems Samsung settings have to be changed. Caution I'm an iPhone owner...so googling stuff might not provide all the answers

so go grab your usb cable and try this

Samsung Galaxy S9
  1. Plug the USB cable into the phone and the computer.
  2. Touch and drag the notification bar down.
  3. Touch Tap for other USB options.
  4. Touch the desired option (e.g., Transfer files).
  5. The USB setting has been changed.

Why not just use Bluetooth? Play the music from your Note9 and the steering wheel controls (volume, skip, track, etc.) will still work. I have a Note9 and it works fine.

It doesn't work on Pilot 2011 (Touring). The bluetooth is only for calls.

I've got an inexpensive bluetooth adapter that I just plug into the 'aux' port in the center console. Sounds quality is great. Comes with a little button a lead too that you can use to skip forward and back.

The bluetooth adapter and handsfreelink will need to be connected. Your phone support 2 bluetooth connection. I did this to my pilot.
