rtr, folks may reply again (or, for the first time) to your inquiry here but there are mentions of how much folks paid on numerous threads throughout the site. Best bet might be to use the search function at the top of the page for, say, "msrp" (w/o the quotes).

Your friendly ( ) fellow forum member.

rtr: Does SS mean Sandstone? As noted in my earlier post, I am trying to find out if anyone has seen one yet at a dealer. Info please!

MSRP + $25 administrative fee in New Hampshire on EXL, no accesories (at time of purchase)
Where in New Hampsire? I am in Northern Mass. and wouldn't mind driving the short distance for a good deal. Did you have to fight for this price, or was it cut and dry?
Honda Barn Stratham NH, on the seacoast, a couple miles from Hampton tolls. Put $500 refundable deposit b4 they arrived. The salesman gave "follow up" call the other day and spoke to wife. She thought he said sold out for a year (or thru end of year) not sure. If desired, I can give you their # and salesman's name. They're not online with MA registry, so I had to do transfer myself, NBD. Decent experience.
sorry, I neglected to answer your full question. MSRP was agreed to in advance. They had description of 7 Pilots coming in. 2 or 3 were not yet spoken for, so we put dep down on the EXL about 5 weeks prior to arrival. Pilot replaces Toyota 4 runner. Miss the power window on the rear hatch (a great option with dog) but that is it.
All I am not at liberty to say is that I am very happy with my oder prices and that I WILL do buisness again.

Lets put it this way,
this will be the 10th vehicle that either we have bought or refered to this manager in 7 years.
I had left the dealership that John (the general manager) used to work at , in order to deal with him at his new dealership.
I met John when I was try to buy a car for my girlfriend at the time (now my wife), being the GM at the time I was surprised that he even would give me the time of day, but he came over and we haggled back and forth. Since then he is the only person that we deal with, he is very laid back, and honest and in this type of field is very hard to find.
Even though we haggle back and forth he always gives us a very fair deal because he knows we will keep the business coming into the dealership.
But again after I pick up the pilot I will tell you all.

Pilot at MSRP

It's great to go to a dealer to buy a car and drive home with a smile. We paid MSRP for our red EXL. No markup, no forced options, no problem.

Barber Honda in Bakersfield, CA. Ask for Scott Brown. Tell him Jose sent you.
From all of the posts regarding price, it's pretty apparent that the dealers from big cities......where demand outstrips supply, command the MSRP++ prices. Not that this is right but it looks to be the case. Those urbanites looking for a deal should cruise out to the rural Honda shop and I would bet would get a better deal.

Just an observation from all the previous posts :D
Cheese - that is an accurate observation as it applies to the great Commonwealth of Virginia, birth place of 8 US Presidents! :)
