I have a 13 EX-L AWD. Just the “4” (timing belt & waterpump) was $1900 for parts and labor. Does that sound right?

Wow that’s a lot, that’s what I would expect to hear for a VW VR6 where the chains are between the transmission and engine which causes the transmission to get pulled.

For the Honda I would anticipate $500-$900

Doing it on my own I was able to do for about $250-$300

Mine was around $600 which included valve check. I supplied Aisin kit and belts (around $200) and then labor was 6 hrs at $63/hr.

Finding a good shop that lets you supply parts is the trick to having professional work performed the cheapest if you don't do your own work. I normally do this type of work but for under $400 I deemed it worth it to not have a sore back.

In AZ the timing belt and water pump and hoses and everything are due at the 60k maintenence (or 7 years),, i just had the whole shebang done on my 4wd '12 touring and it was a little over 2400$
