Hello all,

Looking at a service manual, it looks straightforward to replace the right-rear parking brake cable (from the equalizer to the wheel) if you can find the equalizer. My cable seems to be seized - I can adjust the left size parking brake properly but the right side won't engage even after adjustment.

The cable goes up through the vehicle floor, to the equalizer, looks like near the back of the centre console. How do you access that? Do you have to remove the console and the carpet... somehow?

Is this straightforward? I hate to take it to the dealer, but I don't want the independent guy (or me) to take some interior bits off the wrong way and leave things rattly forever.

Thanks,
Geoff
