What do you use your torque wrench for? Multiple answers are permitted in this public poll, so include all the things you actually use it for. Be honest, don't leave anything out.

Had to cast a vote for "Other jobs around the house" because I use my torque wrench way more on lawnmowers than on vehicles. I view most torque specs as fairly non-critical - for example, I don't feel like I need a ft/lb measurement to know whether my lug nuts will keep the wheels on or not. For anything except drive train or suspension, i usually just go with the rule: 50ft/lb = pretty doggone tight; 100ft/lb = really effin tight. And for any spec less than 50ft/lb, it's "tight as you can go without breaking that little sh***in' bolt."

Been there, done that. (My next book has been published and should be available on Amazon soon. I've spent a better part of the spring and all summer proofreading.) However, with professional publishing and with most posts on this site, you can go back and edit, but not for typos on poll questions here.

IIRC, some of us feel the ability to go back and edit should be an integral function of this forum.

This "Amazon" of which you speak, are they some sort of vanity press publisher?

No, the publisher for the hardcover edition, which has already come out, is in New York. The publisher is the one now jumping through Amazon's hoops to make it available there.

But in a way, doesn't the entire internet, including every last post of yours or mine or other member here, contain at least some small element of vanity? :)

One might suppose that depends upon your definition of vanity.
