I changed my timing belt and replaced the cylinder head. But I noticed while driving at the beginning of the journey the car would drag for like 10 minutes then start running smoothly please what can be the cause?

Have you confirmed that the engine was timed correctly after the timing belt job? It could be off a tooth and cause some weird symptoms.

But OP said after 10 mins, it runs well? Wouldn't be off a tooth then I wouldn't think. It would never run well.

Yeah I caught that but my thought was that it's possible it's just most noticeable when cold. Sometimes hot / cold could mask minor issues. I could be wrong, but any drivability issues after a timing belt... well I'm gonna quickly verify the engine is in time.
