Honda internal memo on vibrations

I ran across this Honda internal memo on a Honda SUV site:

To: All Service Managers/Advisors
From: Customer Quality Analysis

Request For Assistance-'03 Pilot Steering Vibration

Honda would like to evaluate 2003 Pilots with customer complaints of steering vibration--Vin#'s after 2HKYF18...3H523571.

If you are aware of such a vehicle, refer to action required below.

Confirm VIN is after numbers above.
Tire maker (Bridgestone/Goodyear)
Record DOT# on tire as well as 4 digit/letters preceding DOT#
Vehicle has more than 500 miles
Original tires and rims have not been removed from the axles for any reason
Absolutely no repairs have been done on the powertrain
Must be able to reproduce customer complaint with warm tires inflated to correct pressures. To accomplish this, set the cold tire pressure to the driver door specifications. Then drive the vehicle at speeds greater than 50 mph for 30 minutes; this eliminates vibration due to flat spots on the tires
Call Customer Quality analysis @ (800)###-####. CQA will coordinate with you and the factory to arrange a mutually agreeable inspection date and time.

I have an appointment with my service rep tomorrow to discuss my vibration issue. My vin falls after the one listed above. Very fortunate that I stumbled across this memo. Thank you sspilot for posting the memo on the Honda SUV site. I will post the outcome of my meeting.

Interesting. This is one "problem" that I haven't previously heard discussed on this site.

By the way, what is the "Honda SUV" site to which you refer? Can you provide a link? Thanks.

VIBRATION ISSUE

I'd be VERY interested in the results of your meeting - I've been attempting to resolve an ongoing vibration issue since August...
