I have a 2018 Pilot with lanewatch camera. The camera and it's housing are no longer on the mirror (oops!), however, the mirror is still attached to the car with the vast majority of the housing, and the power still works fine. The wiring for the camera is still intact, so it appears as though if I bought a replacement camera assembly that I could pull out the wiring and use the new assembly with the intact wiring. Has anyone tried to do this? I also need the base cap. If I were to buy these two items below would I be able to fix my problem? If so, how do I attach the new housing parts to the parts that are still on the mirror? Would I still have to calibrate if the wiring remains the same?

Thanks for any and all advice!

If it were me doing this, I would try and find a used salvage yard mirror from the link below or other on line yards. You can always call them and see if they could do better on the price shown as I have had good luck in the past with several of the sellers on car-part.com. Would be a matter of unbolting and unhooking the old mirror and putting on the replacement mirror. Might even be able to find the correct color as you don't mention your model or color in the post

Thanks for your reply. I've looked for a used one both on the site you shared, ebay and others. They are still pretty pricey. Plus, I think that replacing it requires taking the door apart, which I'm a little nervous about doing. My car is silver, which is pretty common, so that's a good thing, but choices are still limited.

Pretty simple really to replace the mirror. Remove the door panel, remove the cover covering the 3nuts, then remove the 3 nuts and the entire mirror comes off.
