2005 Pilot EX-L, when accelerating I get this really bad shaking from the whole car. I’ve already replaced the engine mounts. Is there anything else I can check? The shaking can be felt throughout the entire car, I also have noticed that the passenger side half axle has a slight lateral movement. Is that normal?

One way to check is to go to an area that you can turn the vehicle in tight circles( Parking Lot etc) Turn the wheels all the way to the right or left and drive in a tight circles. It one or both are bad you will hear popping and clicking.

You are correct. Besides the noise, you will see the oil leaks out from the Axle too. My passenger side axle was bad until it made noise in winter time; that was when I noticed that it was bad. Each Axle had oil under the black rubber near the joint connection. When it is bad, the oil leaks out from the rubber.

Before you spend any money on parts or repair, Change ATF with HONDA and only HONDA ATF. It may cure your problem.

Yeah, doubt that's the issue, and Valvoline Maxlife ATF or Redline ATF are just as good if not better.

I replaced the CV axle and it fixed the problem, I also drained the ATF fluid just for regular maintenance and it made the shifting a little bit smoother which was nice.
