Just got a 2012 pilot exl in alabaster silver in Great shape. 166k but extensive maint records including timing belt. No issues so far w eco mode. Needs pads and prob warped rotors due to break shimmy near stop. Excited to own this beautiful car!

Welcome!

What does "no issues so far in ECO mode" mean?

There are issues with all these engines. Unless your engine got new updated rings at some point, the VCM is damaging your cylinders, fouling the cat, and the plugs. How badly, varies wildly. I'd recommend a VCM disabler: What a difference after installing the VCM disable !!

On the brakes, it is most likely rotors, but one thing that fails on these is compliance bushing in the lower control arms, and one of the complaints on this failure is vibrations while braking, so it would be good to inspect those well for cracks or leaking.

Thanks. I mean I don’t have the vibration. It’s very possible the previous owner did the rings. I’m definitely looking into vcm disabler
