Here in CC. I bought the 3rd Pilot on the lot (the first two were black). Haven't seen any on the road, despite a trip to Austin and to Houston since I bought it.

Howdy, Len. Seen you on the board often and dadgummit, you beat me to become the first poster on this thread. Anyway, good to have a chance to say hey. I wonder if there might be enough interest a few months down the road for a get together of fellow Pilot owners. I still haven't seen another Pilot in the wild so it seems kind of cool to see a bunch of Pilots together.
Funny talking to the dealer here in Houston (Goodson Honda North), they are selling every Pilot they can get their hands on, but I've only seen about 3 in the Houston NW, and of course one of them has to look exactly like mine. Was driving into Lowe's and right in front of me was a Redrock Pilot EX. He pulled into a space towards the back of the lot and then I pulled in right next to him. We got to talking and he loves his too - he got his from John Eagle on 290. Seems like they were a little more flexible on the add-ons, oh well, deal is done.

Wonder if anyone else from Texas will post here? Anyway, welcome all!

Had a quick trip to Houston to see the Astros play, was staying overnight at a nearby Hotel. As I was getting in the Pilot to go from the hotel to the stadium, a Houston Police officer stopped me (before I drove off). I was pretty nervous.....till he smiled and asked "Is that the new Honda?"

Pilots Rock!!

Len,

Feel free to look me up next time you're in town. I work downtown, just blocks from Minute Maid Park (yuck, I don't like that name).

I still haven't seen another Pilot in the wild and only one neighbor couple has even asked about my Pilot. Kind of a bummer. I wouldn't mind getting a little attention although not necessarily from the Police. :D
Pilot in The Woodlands

Good to see fellow Piloteers on the board. My wife was at an intersection in The Woodlands and saw another Pilot just like ours.

It was an SS EXL with side steps and rear splash guards.

She said her and the lady looked and one another laughed and just drove on. There are a few Pilots around Houston now.
Welcome, Lone Star

My wife thinks she saw a White Pilot in Houston today. I STILL haven't seen one in the wild other than my own.
My wife saw a silver Pilot yesterday. First "other" sighting in CC for us.
Out here in West Texas, I have only seen one in my city but I know there are 2 because the same guy owns both of them. He bought himself one in Silver, liked it so much he bought his wife the Havasu. Real nice guy though....he was nice enough to let me look, ride and drive his Pilot, therefore I made my decision after all the homework to do a deal. Our dealer had a demo coming last week but it was stuck in Canada so no telling when it was gonna be here!! Other than those 2 Pilots though, I know of no others around here.
Anyone seen else em in West Texas???
Texas Hill Country

From the Heart of Texas (Austin), we're happy to join our very own
Texas Pirate board.
We, too, have been wondering why there are no Pilots on the road in our neck of the woods. We have concluded that it must be the result of a limited production line which, so far, only adds to the aura of exclusivity.
An Acura dealer, used that argument to emphasize the excellent residual value enjoyed by MDX (yes, we're still debating, although it seems that the black interior of our favorite Silver MDX provides a final turn-off...). Quite possibly that may be the case with Pilots as well. Although, one never knows, judging by the number of Odyssey vans on the roads around Austin and vicinity...
So, as it stands now, we are expecting our Silver Pirate EX some time in Oct/Nov ~ just like TexPilot. Upon careful consideration and comparisons with other automakers' products (incl. our own 4Runner Ltd), we've decided that this particular leather would be a liability rather that an asset ~ so it's cloth.
Another thing we'd rather not have on our Pilot are Integrity tires, so we're planning on replacing them immediately with Michelin CTs.
I've already touched base with Len and TexasAg through PMs ~ thank you both for your input/advice. :)

Happy Trails ~

If you see a white Pilot motoring through Austin with the lower trim guard, wave! I've got season tix to the Longhorns.

I've been wondering what's drawing you to our fair city.
From now on, I'll be on a lookout for you Piloting through Austin ~ especially for your Michelin CTs (keep on bragging). BTW, do you think they have an impact on your fuel economy?

Pilot in Kingwood

Hello All!

Glad to see a few more Pilot owners out there in the H-Town area. I have seen a few around Kingwood but not another Sage Brush like mine. I purchased this car from Gillman Honda and was very satisfied with their service. I recommend giving them a try if you are in the market.

Any other folks in Kingwood are welcomed to contact me to compare notes on issues etc.
