I know there are aftermarket heated seat kits out there but here is a blown up schematic of an MDX seat. The heater units are modular and would probably fit perfectly in the Pilot seat. I wouldn't recommend doing this yourself but a good trim shop could easily wire them up for you using all Honda switches, relays and key parts. Just a thought for those potentially cold buns out there.

Canadian Pilots have heated seats

According to the Owner's Manual, the Canadian version of the Pilot has heated seats. Maybe just get those parts and put them in ???

Still wonder why the US version didn't offer them !!

Didn't know that. Great idea!

Anyone have a discount Honda parts connection in Canada?

US Buyers getting less?

I wouldn't say that. In Canada there are ONLY two models of the Pilot. You can get either an EX or EX-L. The LX, EX-RES, and EX-NAV aren't even available. Yes, you may get a few extra things on the Canadian models....I think they also have engine block heaters as well but to my understanding that's a requirement for any vehicles sold in Canada.

Check out this link for the Canadian Pilot models:

I purchased the EX-L. I beleive the Canadian version comes equipped with several addtional featurers that mine does not

- Daytime Running lights (nice safety feature)
- Heated seats
- Washer fluid level sensor
- Engine block heater.

I would have liked these additional featurers on my EX-L, in that regards I got LESS.

Canadian model...

The Canadian models also have heated side mirrors.... HOWEVER - these aren't just luxuries, but necessities in our less than hospitable climate.

As for getting the parts for heated 'stock' seats, there are no discount Honda Parts suppliers that I know of here.

Also noteworthy - the Canadian Owner's Manual says that the passenger side heaters only warm the bottom section of the seat, so as not to interfere with the Side Airbag detection system.

Messing around in the seats with aftermarket heaters could be a problem???
