I have noticed that the right headlight is aimed about 15 feet ahead of the left one on low beam. Is this a problem or is it done intentionally to increase vision?

Headlights aim

My headlights are aimed very well - driver and passenger are equi-distant. The fog lights really help to fill the gap between the hood and the low beams.

High beams really project out farther than I thought they would. I'm actually impressed with them overall.

I have not looked closely, but I was able to adjust the level of the low beams on my Integra with a phillips head screwdriver (even had a "level" inside the engine compartment.)

HEADLIGHTS

MY MITSUBISHI MONTERO SPORT HAS THE SAME ALIGNMENT WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. I WAS TOLD IT IS TO ADD VISION ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD WHILE NOT BLINDING THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

Low beam lamps are often aimed slightly downward to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. And yes, sometimes only the left lamp is aimed this way.

Usually, this is done when the lens refraction pattern does not cut off light output in the upper left quadrant of the lens. Typically, the beam is adjusted to drop about 3 inches for every 25 feet of distance.

Modern headlamp lenses have better refraction patterns, but often the lamps get aimed downward anyway.

It could be ...

something as simple as the driver's weight shifting the balance of the chassis and alignment of the headlights.

HEY ALL YOU PILOT OWNERS...HAVE A GREAT DAY. I CAN'T GET MY PILOT UNTIL MY MONTERO SPORT LEASE IS UP IN 4 MONTHS. GREAT SUV BUT IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON. GIVE ME FEEDBACK ON YOUR LIKES ABOUT THE LIPOT. THANKS

Over all I think the pilot is great for the money (hopefully this MSRP price-sale would be over by the time you buy it.) looks great, not too big, comfortable, has everything that other SUV in its class has and more. Thanks God I did not buy the Highlander. I would have regreted and there would not be a third row.
One time I parked next to a highlander, the own of the Highlander keep looking at my pilot even as he drove away. I bet he regreted that he did not see the Pilot before.

Or maybe he ran into one of those "delightful" FORCED OPTIONS, HUGE MARK_UP OVER MSRP dealers and DECIDED TO SHOP TOYOTA INSTEAD {read that Honda Corp.!!}

Hey AHMC (yeah, you guys read this board too!) do SOMETHING to reign in those ROGUE dealers!

Controlling supply to keep deamnd high is one thing, but some stores are getting NUTS!

Highlander vs Pilot

A buddy of mine at work bought a Highlander about 6 months ago. When I showed him my Pilot and all the storage space and seating configuration he got sick. :19:

By the way renov8r don't buy a Pilot - buy an Exploder - negotiate and save $100s you'll be much happier :16:
