So the summer tires were done we got with the Pilot. I decided before going new Id check kijiji and see what was out there. I found an add close to home for 245/65/17 michelin ltx m/s 2 in like new condition for $550.00 I msg the seller, offered 500 he said yes and off I went. They were an hour away. Got there and they were mint. I measured and they were still the 12/32 they come from the factory with. I paid the man. Threw them in the pilot and headed home. Got home, unloaded and as I was stacking them realized he miss advertised! They were 245/75/17! Shit. My fault of course, I was so happy they were new I didnt read the sidewall. Anyway I said fuck it and mounted them on my summer wheels, installed them and went for a test drive. No rubbing on full lock, no rubbing on bumps and they are smooth and quiet. Score! With a 720 A A rating they should last a while and at less than half price. Happy accident!

Ha thanks for the speedo info. I already ran thay and told my wife to watch her speed. I had a set of LTX I took off and they had over 80K miles on them so hope to get the same out of these. The Pilot actually rides better on the bigger tire too.

Still loving my Michelin LTX MS/2s. Smooth and quiet and should last a long time. My sole trepidation is that some bozo will total my PIlot before my Michelins wear out.

Congrats for your serendipity.
