I am very interested. I am in the process of selling my pilot and am not sure when I will have my new one. Part of me says the sooner the better because the busyness of Christmas is coming. However, I am going to want to show off my new '06 when I finally trade/sell my '03. Don't let me hold it off due to my situation. A few week's notice would be appreicated

Mark

It will be great if you can join us, then we will have Sunday Rider's black 03 EXL, Mike688's siler 04 EXL, my silver 05 EXL, and your green 06 EXL. A perfect lineup from 03-06. :2:

It will be interesting to take the photos to compare the head lights difference between OEM, Eurodezign and PIAA, and your new 06 head lights, etc.

Any thoughts on possible dates?
Thinking of end of Nov to begining of Dec. My schedule will be very flexible. But I would love to hear everybody's feedback.

I am also thinking of getting it sponsored by some Honda dealer. Will talk to the dealer I bought my Pilot from.

Okay I maybe getting this wrong but what does a "meet" actually entail? I was thinking getting together to go over each others vehicles grabbing a meal and then looking some more. If it's sponsored by a dealer, does that mean they pay for our all you can eat Chinese Food buffet:12: :7: :7:
What you have described for "getting together to go over each others vehicles grabbing a meal and then looking some more" is exactly what am imagining the meet. I was inspired by the meet from the Alberta Piloteers when they got sponsored by some dealers with some free gifts. For us, :7: :7: will be paid by ourselves.;)

December 3/4 would work for me as long as it's around the noon hour.
Hi Scoobs, welcome to join us!:2:

It will be nice to compare the lights with OEM, PIAA, Eurodezign, and Osram! I guess a cover indoor parking lot will be ideal for the photos shots of the lights!

BTW, the 06 conversation mirror has been delivered to my friend's address in NY state, he will be back to Toronto on Nov 24, so if we meet Dec 3/4, I will be able to show off my new mirror. :5:

You know, we've got to put Toronto on the Hondapilot.org map with many pictures of our huge, successful event:6: :6: :awais:. Any ideas based on that?
Yeah, as the birth place of Pilot, we should have got a big event already! :4:

I have contacted the salesperson I bought my Pilot from, he asked to send email to the sales department for the request, and I did. Hopefully they will come up with some free gifts to support our event.

I have asked Mike688 about his schedule to meet, and he can definitely make it in our planned dates. Mike688, you should post some response yourself, lazy boy! :yodaddy: :headslap:

Hi PChiu,

Welcome to join us!

Well, let's try decide on Dec 3 for now, and see how many of us will come, lets see around 12:00 noon.

For your DRL problem, I hope Sunday Rider and OnHonda11 will be able to help, since they got the same year model with yours.

Hello All,
Anyway we can make it the 4th? It would be better for me.
Thanks,
OK, I forgot you mentioned Sunday! Lets see Dec 4, Sunday, 12:00 noon. Trying to decide a good location with

1. shopping mall with lots of free parking, so we can line up our Pilots and take shots.

2. to handle bad weather, the parking lot can have covered area, and also good for taking pictures for Pilots with head lights on. :2:

3. also close to good restaurant so we can sit down, chat and have fun! :7:

I am considering Yorkdale Shopping Mall, since it has lots of free parking spots, especially in the N/W corner. But the covered parking is not in the same corner, and the restaurants Pickel Barrel and Milestones are not the same corner either.

Any other suggestions?

If Yorkdale Mall is bad choice in Dec, one of my friends told me to try 401 and Kennedy, last time Mazda3 fans in Toronto had meeting in that location. Lots of parking, restaurants close by. I am not too familiar with that place, will check more details when I get chance.

talked to Mike688 about the location, he is going to drive and check the area around 401/Kennedy, see if there is any restaurant and lots of parking there. Also he suggested some other locations, such as Scarborough Town Centre with covered parking (but it might be the same case with Yorkdale Mall, bad parking for Christmas shopping), or mcdonalds at Finch and mccowan, lots of parking there, it is also close to highway, so folks driving to Toronto can access easily (driving north from Scarborough Town Centre).

What do you guys think? I will keep you guys posted with the result from Mike688's investigation.

Hi Tim,

We woundn't mind to have a mini meet with you. Sunday Rider has told me you are a nice guy when he picked up his hitch from you. :2:

And maybe we can go with you to visit the Honda facility as well? ;)

Just kidding.:p

Bump.

We better decide on a place soon!
Somewhere off the 401 looks best. If we want to do the head light comparo, we can choose Yorkdale, and if we want just a place to meet, eat and park we could do the 401 Kennedy mall.
Jump in.
For a group of people, maybe we could go to 401/Kennedy (I haven't heard from Mike688 which restaurant he would prefer, but he said there are a couple of them we can choose, and I will drive to that area this Saturday to check it out). For the shots of headlights, maybe we can arrange another mini meet with you, Mike688, Scoobs, OnHonda11 and me (wow, 5 types of head lights:eek: )? or for several of us, we can drive to a cover parking lot (like Yorkdale) after the meet?

Plant 1 or Plant 2, both good to me.

Are we talking about next Tuesday/Thursday? Either way, I will always be able to schedule my time to attend.

BTW, can we take camera to take shots?

Okay, just so I understand.
We have 2 possible meets.
One on Sunday Dec.4, and another on a Tues or Thurs. to see the Honda Plant.

Every one else see it that way?
Yes, that's what I think. Dec 4 meet will still be as scheduled. Tues or Thurs will be another one!

Is there a way to find out who the Toronto area members are to invite them by email to the meet? Some may miss it if they haven't been onto the site for a few weeks.
That's what I am tring to find out. Maybe some moderators can help with a search query for the memeber's location?
