2005 Pilot EX, Daughter dinged the door and starting to rust. I found a door at used car lot for 2004 Pilot
1) Apprears that door for 2004 and 2005 identical so can be interchangeable, anyone know for sure or where to check
2) I cannot find any videos on how to remove entire door ?

Any help highly appreciated

So that is confusing to me. I almost wonder if there is a problem in your seat harness. I had an issue with a CL, that I fought with for quite a while.
It's a pain, Honda gave me some BS like of we need to debug harness it will take 10 hrs of labour!!!!. The code from the scanner is 61-10 and extensive google states it is buckle switch.....I am cleaning the original buckle and restoring it to see if that works
I was always very satisfied with USPS. I hate dealing with UPS for packages from the states, they always seem to charge for the brokerage fees, where USPS does not.
I wish to digress as well on this. It's so true; just got burned again recently. I need to remember to always ask a US sender if there is another option available that's not UPS.

I will be home Sunday, I might have time to pull the other seat out, and take some resistance measurements. I'm sure it will read open until I plug in the belt. But, not 100% certain. Then I might be able to look at the driver seat harness, to trace that out. Shouldn't take long, but I'm trying to pack the truck up that day for a New York trip Monday, as well as sell two cars. Sunday is going to be a busy one.

I am switching back to the old buckle, I opened and cleaned it and lubricated the pin on the switch, the code 60-10 seems universal for Honda and Acura for buckle issue. Other issue maybe wire on connectors maybe intermittent, so will look at those. I used scanner to see live data driver side when buckling and unbuckling gore's from UNBKLE to OPEN, never reports a BKLE State
Can u let me know how and what you are measuring for resistance, I could do the same to see if a harness problem at my end.
I got delayed, due to a piece of gear that did not want to be fixed. I fly home tomorrow, will try to do it when I get home. It might be late, like about 7pm though.

Cleaned old buckle etc and reinstalled old one, same old same old:rolleyes:, this is not leaning towards retiring this vehicle...noooooo...I love this car and engine and body immaculate...
Found a pilot seat in junk yard, easier to replace seat then debug harness?

If they don't accept returns, is it at least cheap to buy and try?

End of my rope, took the buckle from another seat and replaced and still no luck. Replaced SRS fuse in panel as well, no luck. Don't see how the harness in seat would be an issue. Out of ideas, anyone with any final ideas before this beauty is let go:cry:. I have the replacement seat which would debug the harness under seat, is that worth it!!
Sorry for lack of help tonight, plane couldn't land and got diverted. I rented a car, and got home at 9pm.

Np, take it easy
I see some suggestions to reset the SRS airbag via a yellow connector under dash near fuse panel. Is that worth trying as i have a scan tool allowing SRS codes to be cleared or is this hard reset different?
I've never had to reset an SRS code, thank goodness, but resetting the VSA light with my Foxwell NT630 Plus took me a few tries before either a) I actually got the instructions and the sequence just right, and/or b) I finally got lucky. ¯\(ツ)

If no luck after really paying attention to do everything exactly as it should be and trying again and again, perhaps the yellow connector hard reset is your plan B (or C, in this case). :)

Just be very careful around those airbag connections, lest you inadvertently set it off. I myself would be too chicken to tempt fate and clown around with them unless I was damn sure of what I was doing.

BTW, have you ever had the free Takata airbag recall done? If not, hand it over to a trusted dealership (often an oxymoron, I know), and let them deal with it, perhaps concurrently rectifying your issue it just slipped your mind to mention to them up front. ;)

I tried that angle but unfortunately they had fulfilled all recalls related airbag, but good idea.

I am also nervous about playing with the yellow connectors. I managed to download the Honda manual to help debug the harness via impedance measurements from connector pins. I'm unsure or little confused about the buckle switch ie in turning off the seat belt light and SRS light as well, not sure how they are logically tied. If buckle is faulty not sure why seatbelt light not permanently "barking" at me?. Tried 3 seat belt buckles what are the odds 3 are faulty!
