Front Passenger Door Removal

2298 Views 87 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Frodo
2005 Pilot EX, Daughter dinged the door and starting to rust. I found a door at used car lot for 2004 Pilot
1) Apprears that door for 2004 and 2005 identical so can be interchangeable, anyone know for sure or where to check
2) I cannot find any videos on how to remove entire door ?

Any help highly appreciated

When you do get your scanner, you can find out exactly what is going on. I've had seat belt receivers go bad, as well as a complete SRS computer failure in a CRV. Proper diagnosis is invaluable.

Honda here in Canada told me they could not do a full airbag diagnosis as my vehicle is a US car? Did not follow that logic as he said it would not accept a US VIN
Sounds like bullshit to me. But what do I know.

Received by Foxwell Scan tool and on initial scan implies that Airbag light is related to Seat latch in open state. I used the tool to reset it and then shows pass no faults. I will wait for it to trigger again and scan. Will replace one I get latch from ImBroke (Thanks) and rescan an see what codes pop up etc

That scan makes perfect sense knowing what we're dealing with. I'm pretty sure it will clear.

I reset it via scanner and couple of restarts of the car code came back on and same error message/code returned in scanner. Taken seat out, will post pics with install pics. The salt from canadian winter did a number on the carpet under seat:oops:

Anyone have torques values for the seat belt buckle and also the seat into the floor. I googled and at best found 24 ft-lbf but can't validate.

Lucky you, you snuck it out of there with the mirror still attached. :D

Question on the Airbag light, still intermittent but will see outcome once I install the belt clip that ImBroke is kindly shipping to me, but once I install do I need to reset the SRS airbag via OBDII tool (still waiting for Aliexprsss delivery for scanner per earlier recommendation). Any thoughts
I was going to say that the Official Foxwell Store on AliExpress delivers lickety split, in my experience. I'm guessing they have a warehouse somewhere in North America.

Here are you specs, monsieur, piping hot straight out of the owner's manual for a 2006.

How unpalatable could they be? So tip generously and please don't sue me.

Installed buckle and airbag light still on. I tried clearing code but it clears and re appears immediately!. Not sure what the scoop is. Checked all connectors etc look ok. Any further thoughts?

I was always very satisfied with USPS. I hate dealing with UPS for packages from the states, they always seem to charge for the brokerage fees, where USPS does not.
Update, so my son was responsible for connectors, he is an engineer in training!!, checked connectors this morning and one connector not seated !!. Now fully seated, codes cleared and will drive around today and see if it worked🤞🤞

Update 2, Airbag light still on and scanner states image attached. I noticed if I don't put on safety belt the Airbag light does not come on!!!!. If an open on the harness, that will be painful
