Front Passenger Door Removal

2298 Views 87 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Frodo
2005 Pilot EX, Daughter dinged the door and starting to rust. I found a door at used car lot for 2004 Pilot
1) Apprears that door for 2004 and 2005 identical so can be interchangeable, anyone know for sure or where to check
2) I cannot find any videos on how to remove entire door ?

Any help highly appreciated

Drive around (safely) and see if it stays off.

What would you use to reset it if it doesn't? What kind of code scanner do your have?
Regular App based OBD scanner, Honda implied as this was a US vehicle they dont have ability to read SRS codes?
I use this, the cheapest code scanner that reads Honda specific codes, does SRS and more. I still have Torque Pro on my phone with Bluetooth dongle, but since I got the Foxwell NT630 Plus, I use it all the time and it's paid for itself several times over.

Got a door from Kenny u Pull in Cornwall(y), will post pre and post install. Orders the OBD reader from Aliexpress and will see what codes show up. Tried cleaning with compressor and electrical contact cleaner, no luck. Will see if Honda gives me parts and let's me install myself

I think you will be happy with the Foxwell. I don't have one, but my scanner will read SRS codes, not sure what Honda is talking about. Looking forward to pics. For the front door, you also have to remove the front fender to get at some bolts.

Door replaced , cutting the harness conduit, had some wires cut inadvertently, soldered back:cool:, thanks to all for your your tips and advise. It was more challenging than I anticipated due to the wiring harness and connectors were not the easiest to remove.
