I did exactly what rka4570 recommended in his thread (wash-->clay-->polish-->sealant)
Polishing was a bit nerve wracking because this was the first time I did a complete exterior detailing on my own and all the youtube videos I watched about polishing had me scared that I was going to mess up something and ruin the paint. Prior to this I had only ever done simple car washes and nothing more.

Cost me around $200 for getting all the equipment, microfibre cloths, pads, clay etc and of course the rka4570 recommended polish and sealant. I bought a used polisher so I saved money there but everything else I got from auto geek shipped to Canada.

This would have cost me around $500 at a local car detailer (wash, clay, polish and sealant/wax service).

There only things left to do are sidestep bars, exhaust tips and all the black plastic. I have ordered other products for these.

There is no need to order supplies to do the exhaust tips, just get some 0000 steel-wool and some chrome cleaner and rub. This is very quick & easy.
