I have a 2013 Pilot EX-L with a Honda remote start kit installed. Worked great until the other day when temperatures went above 80 degrees. When it is hot outside and the Pilot heats up the remote start and door fob don't function. Have to manually open doors with key. However in the morning before everything heats up it works fine. So not remote batteries (going to replace them just to make sure). Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing them not to function? Is it truly the hot temps? I am thinking it could be the battery and need a new one. Open to suggestions!

Metal expands when it warms up. It could be a bad electrical connection such as a poor splice or an incompletely connected wire tap. If you start checking things you might consider disconnecting battery negative before touching anything.
