I was driving to Morhead City today in the Pilot and saw, to my amazement, a silver Odyssey and a black MDX driving in front of one another.:D

As I approached them, I could see the driver of the Odyssey start to point over and call on his wife. He was propbably around 30 or so and gave me a look like: uurrggghhh, why am I driving a minivan?!?!:p Just kidding, the Odyssey's are cool! Then, as I approached the MDX, the driver gave a half glance and snared up. Although his wife did give a big thumbs up!:D

I thought it was cool to drive next to two of the same "framed" vehicles. And an interesting reaction from the owners too!

Re: Re: Encountered an Odyssey and MDX at the same time on the Highway!

Wife told me today that she passed an X5 today and he was seriously looking at the Pilot for a good couple of minutes. Hope he was only looking at the Pilot and not my wife ;)

Where are all the Pilot fans in WNY?

I've been driving my Pilot for 5 days now. Not once have I seen someone get all excited about spotting mine. There can't be more than 10-15 Pilots on the road here yet. And IMHO, I have the hottest color available so far...Evergreep Pearl. All the other Pilots here are either Black, Silver, or Red. I've passed Odysseys and CR-Vs....not even glance yet. I even drove along a green CR-V today for about 5 mins....intentionally stayed near to see if the lady would notice. Nope....no clue....LOL. Oh well, at least my Pilot impresses the hell out of me!!!!

IMHO

Well, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, I think it stands for "In My Honda Odyssey". LOL

P.S. Before you ask, LOL stands for "Limbo Or Leave".

Re: Where are all the Pilot fans in WNY?

I'm with you, WNY. In my experience, only the Honda-savvy consumers know and recognize the Pilot for the awesome machine that it is. I had one lady squeal out, "Pilot, Pilot! That's the new Pilot!!!" as she saw it when we were parked next to each other (I let her touch it :12: ) and another guy at work asked my if I was the guy that he saw driving the Pilot out of the parking deck. Beyond that, I've just been one of the large-SUV masses to the rest of the crowd. I figure that just makes me smarter than most of the rest of the crowd. :D

I really have to get out more....I haven't seen any on the roads yet

But I'm easy to spot....I've got a cherry red 1990 Civic hatchback (without rust!), and a black '59 Oldsmobile (with rust :D)

At the Acura dealer

I went to my Acura dealer to get my MDX deposit back and parked the spotless Redrock EX-L right in front of the dealership.

I was in with the business manager as he was cutting me a check and by the time I got back outside there were FOUR salesmen checking out the Pilot.

Felt really awesome to strut back into it and pull out REALLY SLOWLY!

I'm sure would have loved the MDX as well, but I'm REALLY LOVIN' the Pilot!
