My e-brake is very loose and does not hold all too well. I tried adjusting and in one click of the wheel it goes from "not grabbing" to "rubbing while driving"
I just drove another Pilot of the same generation and their e-brake is very strong while not making any noises while driving.
Any tips on how to improve mine?

My wife and I adjusted our Pilot’s e-brake a couple years back. We followed the procedure in the Haynes manual and that worked. I recall there was a procedure to check that the e-brake pedal causes the pads to engage within a certain number of clicks. I’d have to double check, but I seem to remember engagement is supposed to occur around the 6th click when depressing the pedal.

I fiddled with the pedal itself and tightened the nut on its side. Now the pedal is firmer and grips. The brake still grips in the forward direction much better than in reverse, i.e. if I leave the transmission engaged in D then it is not moving, but if I switch to reverse, then it moves very slowly.
