On my '14 EX-L with 100K miles, the spring mechanisms that hold the doors open are so weak that the merest touch will close each door. And if I'm parked facing uphill? fuggedaboudit !

I'm guessing that the spring mechanisms all need replacing...is it costly to have done?

I’m guessing it’s a worn out door checker. Google College Hills Honda parts (other Honda parts sites as well). They’re cheap…..about $15. Instructions would be by year/model.

I'm not handy enough to confidently remove and correctly replace door panels.
To the shop we go then. Just a thought incase you were mechanically inclined.

To answer the cost question it’s going to be in the neighborhood of $30 for the part and 0.75 to 1.0 hourly labor rate for each door.

I replaced all four on my 2005 Pilot some years ago. The first door took me 1.5 hours and each subsequent door was about 45 minutes. Get OEM parts, or if you go aftermarket don’t use Dorman. They squeak horribly . . . it wasn’t worth the $10 savings per door.
