Has anyone done their own rear strut (shock absorber) replacement?

I watched a video on doing the work. The big challenge seems to be removing the lower bolt. Some comments I've see are that the bolt is difficult to remove and has to be sawed off. This make me leery of attempting this myself.

My 2010 Pilot has 160k miles and I expect the bolts are pretty well secured just by age.

Can anyone offer their own experiences on their DIY experience?

My Pilot is much older and the bottom fastener was not a problem but ymmv. Spray some rust penetrant on the fasteners like PB B'laster and get a long breaker bar. HF has a good breaker bar thats under twenty. Tighten to torque specs.
