Hi,
A few months ago I had the transmission rebuilt on my beloved 2004 Pilot, at 159K. I am supposed to check on it periodically to make sure there are no leaks. (The shop compared a transmission rebuild to open heart surgery.) And, living extremely rural, I want to be prepared should I need to add any fluid, by getting a funnel with a hose. We are hours from a mechanic so if it did need any work, we would have to travel there which would mean topping off.
Perchance does anyone know what diameter hose I would need? I ordered a ⅜" ID, ½" OD hose and that is the same diameter, so it will not fit over the outside, nor inside of the dipstick tube. Should I go narrower (¼") to fit inside of the tube? It's really hard to reach that area so I can't measure it.
Thanks.
