I have a 2014 Pilot. Just recently replaced battery, alternator was tested when battery was replaced. Wife says it started to rain so she turned her lights on. After a short while driving, the dash lights dimmed to where you could hardly see the gauges. Lights came on a little while later. I checked the battery and it read 12.6. Battery clamps are tight.

would appreciate any ideas

The brightness control is via the little knob in the instrument cluster to the left of the center multi-function or information display screen. Turn the knob to adjust brightness. The dash lights auto-dim when the headlights are on. Unfortunately there's no great auto-dim based on actual exterior light levels, even though there's auto headlight control based on that light sensor up on the top center of the dash, forward on towards the base of the windscreen. It sorta-works but isn't always perfect.

For my 2013 Pilot, the description is in the Owner's Manual on page 130.
