Unfortunately my 2011 EXL Pilot with 144K miles ran into a deer last weekend (see video) and the insurance company is planning to total it. It is (was) in very good condition, no rust, leather and navigation system. What is a fair price for them to offer? It needs a radiator and front end plastics, but seems repairable.

They are offering about $15K for reimbursement, $2.4K to buy as salvage. Seems reasonable.
Photo of the damage would help. It’s hard to see the extent of the damage without pulling off all the front plastics, grille etc. The big concern is if there is damage to the rails. If so, these would have to be professionally bent back into place. Cut out damaged radiator core support and weld in a new one.

Suggestion if you haven't already thought about it but order and repalce that expensive Front Motor mount since you have clear access to it !! I know it cost some $$ but man the time it appears it would take a DIY to replace it when all the other stuff is in the way ! Just saying. I am new to the forum and recently had to troubleshoot an animal hit after my wife first voyage with our 2011 Pilot since getting it and the scrapping sound only happened going forward and not in reverse. Visual checks I saw nothing at the time, so starting looking at / testing Motor mounts and discovered this Electronic Gem !! Oh my ! Anyways I got lucky, turns out Honda installed a metal safety loop under the drive shaft and it got bent up. So going ever so slightly forward, pushed the drive shaft down = noise, coasting or in reverse drive shaft up doesn't touch. As for motor mounts, there was a lot more movement that I thought should be there but users on this forum posted videos showing almost the same as what I was seeing and said this was normal. Anyways sorry short post became a lot more...Might consider looking at that mount. A few weeks ago I installed S-VCM so hoping I bought some time before mine fails ! Good Luck on your restore and glad to hear your son was safe ! Love my pilot !!
